Sunbeamers
The Sunbeamers were the first band I had the pleasure of interviewing. Their Fugazi-style punk and Sorority Noise displays of raw emotion during songs still get stuck in my head.
Recorded before band member expansion and took place during a house show and at the Milk Parlor in Blacksburg, VA the following night.
Parotia
Parotia is as talented as they are audience-capturing. The fourth band interviewed. Despite dissolving to pursue a menagerie of skills, their influence is still renowned in NRV.
Parotia (Pt.2)
There wasn't much to cut from this whole experience, so I decided to make this a two-part interview which took two weeks to edit.
Sunbeam Station
Sunbeam Station can only be described as groovy. Not every Peace by Vagrants is an interview.
Simply a condensed edit of a 50-minute set.
The Wearing Hands
The Wearing Hands were a springboard into surf rock for me. With a distinctive sound and style, I couldn't help to but to think of further defining my own visual style.
Plus, it's always easier to edit something you enjoy listening to.
The Bridge:
Peace by Vagrants was created by me and cinematographer Mitchell Hamm in February 2022 to show the talent behind local and underground rock, punk, and indie/alternative bands in the NRV area of Virginia.
Music will always be one of the greatest ways to bridge communities together.
